Tree Climbing Saddles

What does your horse spook at??
My boy is only young and green broke so he’ll have a spook at anything but the silliest was on my ride the other day. he was doing very well and listening and responding but he started to get a bit out of hand (as they do) and wouldnt respond when I asked him to slow down as we were approaching some muddy puddles. He finally decided to pay attention as he was about to put his hoof in a small puddle and decided he didnt want his hoof all dirty and jumped 10ft in the air (it felt like it!) I was bareback and came straight off although I reckon I wouldve with a saddle too
Silly boy and all over a puddle haha but our best one yet was our 1st, he spooked so I took him back to the spot and saw what he’d freaked over… a goanna up above our heads climbing a tree! I think we might have scared the poor lizard too as he was motionless and watching us when I finally spotted him. What has your horse spooked at that you found amusing?
HAHAHA love all the answers, I think my favs were the tail swishing and the duckling lol
Well, my geldings name is Spook, and he was names that for a reason lol he spooks at everything, water, rocks, trees, other animals etc, but I think my favorite was when I started feeding my horses hoffmans and I had seperate buckets for each of them and I was bringing all the buckets into the paddock and he was all excited to get the yummy stuff and came running over and then practly did a sliding stop as he got nearer and thought the buckets were scary, yet he wanted to come closer cause he could smell it and wanted to eat itt but the buckets weere to scary. So it was about 10 mins of running back and forth and snorting and shaking funniest thing I’ve ever seen hahaha
