Rock Climbing Harness

If you go somewhere to go rock climbing do you need to tell them your weight so they know which harness to use?

No, any harnesses can handle any weight climber. You will have to tell them which SIZE you want to wear because most harnesses are not universal size and have limited adjustment range – you need one that fits your waist and thighs.

Harnesses also have different amounts of “rise” which is the distance from the waist to the leg loops – most women use a harness with more rise because they have a higher waist than men.
