Hangboard Climbing
How do you install a hangboard?
I want to get a hangboard to improve my grip to improve my rock climbing grip and install it over my bathroom door. The Problem is, none of my doors have studs.
The recommended place for hangboards is above doors so I’m guessing that there has been other people with this same problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to hang the hangboard?
There is a stud on either side of your doors. Measure an inch from the inside of the jamb, and you will have the edge of the stud. It will run away from the opening, so center will be approximately 1-3/4″ from the jamb. Above the door will be either cripple studs at 16″ on center, or a solid header of 2×10. Hope this helps.
